Karen Becker is a native of Angeles, CA. She enrolled in beauty school in order to satisfy her desire to learn everything she could about hairdressing. In 2015 Karen became a Goldwell Master Colorist, and finds her passion is creating color and haircutting. She loves the idea that she can help a person find their perfect style and be a part of their transformation! If you are looking for experience, and top notch service, Karen is the stylist for you!

Tyler is a native of St Mary’s County from Hollywood, MD. He graduated from Leonardtown High School in 2020 and enrolled in Blades School of Hair Design to pursue his love of beauty. Tyler grew up around the hair industry - his mom is a stylist too! Tyler is extremely talented with all types of color and definitely has a vision! Once you sit in Tyler’s chair you will not be disappointed! During his down time he loves on his dog, (and usually does somebody’s hair…)

Vianey is a San Diego native. She moved to SOMD for a life change and decided to pursue her cosmetology license and begin her career at Halo! Vianey loves fashion trends and translates those trends to her clients! She loves doing color of all kinds - her blondes are spot on! She is also certified in Invisible Bead Extensions (hand-tied method). Vianey is also fluent in Spanish! During her free time she does crazy upside down yoga and decorates her house!

Julie is originally from Central California. Before starting her career as a licensed cosmetologist Julie worked in restaurants as a server, bartender, and manager. Motivated by her Mom, Julie decided to pursue her dreams of becoming a hairstylist and went to Blades School of Hair Design. Julie has been practicing her passion for 8 years and obsessed with all thing’s hair, especially Balayage. Julie is very accomplished and loves the connection she makes with everyone who sits in her chair!

Presley is a native of St Mary’s County from Mechanicsville, and graduated from Chopticon High School in 2017. She went to nursing school right after high school, but always knew that doing hair was her true passion. After graduating from Blades School of Hair Design in 2019 Presley went on to work in a local high end salon becoming a leader there for 3 years. She loves color in general, particularly blonding, and she love seeing client’s transformation.

Jenna grew up locally in Hollywood, Maryland. Since she was little, she had a passion for hair and makeup, and she knew that it was the thing that she wanted to do for her whole life! Being an apprentice is a perfect way for her to learn and be immersed in the salon environment. We are excited to help Jenna and watch her grow! She also likes to bake and play with her dog Bear whenever she has free time.

Laurie has lived in Southern Maryland since 2012, she is originally from Southern Illinois and has lived in Jacksonville and Virginia Beach. Laurie is a retired Navy wife, a proud mom of two amazing girls and a grandmother of 3 little ones. She worked in customer service for over 25 years and loves being part of a team and serving others. Laurie is always available and happy to assist you and help you have a great experience at Halo Hair Care Studio!
